A Bit About Me
Rebecca was raised in Gary Indiana, and graduated from Calumet High School in 2008. She participated in various curricular and extracurricular activities including band, choir, theater, and martial arts. Rebecca earned her 1st degree black belt under the teaching of Mr. John Hoffmaster at the Old Firehouse.

Rebecca is a 911 professional who has various certifications and accommodations through the International Academy of Emergency Dispatch. She holds valid Emergency Dispatcher certifications for multiple disciplines (Medical, Fire, and Police), quality assurance certifications for all three disciplines, and an instructor certification.

One of Rebecca’s greatest desires is to see 911 grow and change, not only for the sake of the community, but for the dispatchers as well. In the future, she hopes to bring advanced professional training to 911 centers across the country by offering training and business consulting.

Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Science in Adult Career Education / Organizational Leadership from Indiana State University. She is currently studying for a Master’s of Public Administration. She is very passionate about non-profit work, and the ministry of the Old Firehouse Community Center. It is her hope that the OFCC will continue to change lives, just as it did hers.

Rebecca resides in Charlottesville, Virginia, but manages communications for the OFCC and visits several times per year.
