School Customs
School customs, are a set of rules that are chosen by and which are appropriate for students who participate in events held, both inside and outside of the martial arts school. Adhering to the customs is an absolute must for any student wanting to participate with programming at the Old Firehouse Communtiy Center.
OFCC Customs
Cleanliness
At OFCC, we strive for cleanliness of the mind, body, and spirit. We expect that our students refrain from profuse language when joining us for class. Students must have clean uniforms, with cut and clean finger and tow nails.
Concentration
Full mental focus is a must when it comes to martial arts training. There are many things to look at, however, it is expected that students focus on what the teacher is teaching so that the student can receive the most benefit.
Humility
We trust that our students will learn to have a servant's heart. Being considerate of the needs of others as well as your own is a great way to start.
Respect
Treat instructors and seniors with respect. Always address your teacher with sir or ma'am. Treat others with the same respect as you treat those at OFCC.
